Privacy policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026. Syncing Beats is built to work without accounts and without storing your voice. Here is exactly what happens when you use it.
What we don't collect
There are no accounts, sign-up forms, advertising trackers or analytics on this website. We don't record, upload or keep your voice, your camera video or the text you type.
Your microphone and camera
When you press record, your browser asks for microphone permission. The sound is analysed live inside your browser to measure things like volume, pauses and pitch. Nothing is sent to our servers. The optional camera preview on the meeting practice page is shown only on your screen and is never recorded.
Speech-to-text
To turn your speech into words, we use your browser's built-in speech recognition. In Chrome and Edge, this service is provided by Google or Microsoft and may process your audio on their servers under their own privacy policies. If you'd rather avoid this, you can still use text to voice, which doesn't use speech recognition.
Practice history
Your meeting practice scores are saved only in your own browser (local storage) so you can track progress. They never leave your device. You can delete them at any time with “Clear my history” on the meeting practice page, or by clearing your browser's site data.
AI voices
AI text to voice runs inside your browser using the open-source Piper voices. The first time you use a voice, your browser downloads the voice files from Hugging Face and the code libraries from jsDelivr and cdnjs. Like any website request, these providers can see your IP address. The text you type is not sent to them.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Hostinger. Like all web hosts, their servers may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit) for security and reliability.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies. Your browser's local storage is used only for your practice history and saved AI voices, as described above.
Changes
If we change how Syncing Beats handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
